West Coast Visions 2024 now open for applications
Screenwest and Screen Australia are pleased to announce that applications for West Coast Visions 2024 are now open, with up to $1.25M production funding available to Western Australian filmmaking teams looking to produce their debut feature film. Applications close Monday, 8 April 2024 at 5:00pm AWST, with a Q&A webinar taking place on Monday, 5 February.

Hit series ‘Aussie Gold Hunters’ unstoppable as Season 10 commissioned by Warner Bros. Discovery
Screenwest is pleased to announce Warner Bros. Discovery UK, Ireland, Australia and New Zealand have commissioned Season 10 of the hit series Aussie Gold Hunters from WA production company Electric Pictures, ahead of the highly-anticipated Season 8 hitting Australian screens on Discovery Channel on Thursday, 22 February 2024.

Applications open for Production Manager Accelerator Workshop 2024
Screenwest is pleased to announce the return of the successful Production Manager Accelerator Workshop for 2024. The workshop will provide a limited number of WA practitioners with an understanding of Production Management and the mechanics of taking a production from script to screen. Western Australian production company Wheels Rolling, founded by Nel Minchin, is celebrating its first birthday and the release of its debut project, The Way We Wore, an illuminating three-part ABC documentary series hosted by Celeste Barber, exploring the cultural and historical significance of fashion in Australia.
New Scripted Development rounds now open
Screenwest is pleased to announce the Scripted Concept Development Fund and the Scripted Project Development Fund rounds are now open. These are the first rounds to open under the revised scripted development guidelines. Applications for both rounds will close Monday, 15 January 2024 at 5:00pm AWST.
11 projects supported through Screenwest’s Digital Games Production Fund
From a puzzle platformer game set in an underwater power plant to a cosy space exploration simulator, the projects supported span a range of genres including RPG, adventure, strategy and horror.
