SCREENASSIST Employee Assistance Program now available
To support a healthy, resilient and productive screen industry, Screenwest has engaged the services of the Access Wellbeing Services Employee Assistance Program (EAP) to run a 12-month pilot program, enabling eligible WA screen practitioners to access free, confidential counselling services.
To support a healthy, resilient and productive screen industry, Screenwest has engaged the services of the Access Wellbeing Services Employee Assistance Program (EAP) to run a 12-month pilot program for eligible WA screen practitioners who are unable to currently access an EAP service.
Launching in December 2023, the program, known as SCREENASSIST, provides free, confidential counselling services to screen practitioners eligible to receive Screenwest funding support and their immediate families. Eligible practitioners and their immediate families can use up to six (6) free and confidential counselling sessions annually.
Access Wellbeing Services offer immediate help 24/7. Their counselling services are available in person, online or over the phone. You can access the services from today.
Services offered are not limited to work-related issues, confidential counselling support is available for any of the following:

Access Welling Services is an independent counselling service staffed by a team of highly qualified and experienced psychologists, social workers, and counsellors. The services are confidential, and users will not be identifiable to Screenwest.
How to access SCREENASSIST EAP services:
- In Australia: call 1300 66 77 00.
- In other countries: dial your country code followed by 800 5004 0000.
- Tell the operator you wish to access support under “SCREENASSIST”.
- The operator will ask for your contact details and ask you some other personal questions – the EAP will NOT share this information with Screenwest.
- The operator will ask what broad sector you work in – either Crew, Above the Line, Games Industry or Other. This information will be shared with Screenwest to inform us about industry demand and trends for the EAP services.
Screenwest will review the pilot program after 12 months.
