‘WA Reflections’ short documentary initiative returns for a third year

The State Library of Western Australia and Screenwest are offering up to $25,000 production funding for up to four early to mid-career filmmaking teams to produce a short documentary film. Interested applicants are invited to attend an archive storytelling workshop on Saturday, 30 November 2024.

Applications open for new Workforce Capacity Program – Documentary

This fund supports Western Australia documentary production companies who offer paid on the job training opportunities to local screen practitioners. Screenwest is offering companies up to $50,000 in this one-off initiative to boost workforce capacity in the sector. Applications close Monday, 4 November 2024 at 5:00pm AWST.

Screenwest launches a new Industry Development Fund for Workshops and Masterclasses

The fund supports the delivery of professional skills development opportunities for Western Australian screen practitioners. Applicants can receive funding for courses, workshops and/or masterclasses that address identified industry skills gaps. Applications close Monday, 18 November 2024 at 5:00pm AWST.

Applications open for travel funding to attend Film Bazaar at International Film Festival of India 2024

Screenwest has opened a competitive travel round to support WA screen producers attending Film Bazaar at the International Film Festival of India (IFFI), taking place in Goa, India from 20 – 24 November 2024. Applications close Monday, 21 October at 5:00pm AWST.

Screenwest has opened a competitive travel round to support WA screen producers attending the Australian International Movie Convention (AIMC) 2024 on the Gold Coast from 28 October – 1 November. Applications close Monday, 7 October at 5:00pm AWST.

Expressions of Interest open for a spot in AFTRS Production Accounting Intensive

Screenwest and AFTRS are pleased to offer one WA practitioner a complimentary spot in the Perth AFTRS Production Accounting Incentive in September 2024. The course will provide the knowledge and skills required for a career as a Production Accountant – a role much in demand in the screen industry. Expressions of Interest close Friday 6 September at 5:00pm AWST.
