‘WA Reflections’ short documentary initiative returns for a third year
The State Library of Western Australia and Screenwest are offering up to $25,000 production funding for up to four early to mid-career filmmaking teams to produce a short documentary film. Interested applicants are invited to attend an archive storytelling workshop on Saturday, 30 November 2024.

This fund supports Western Australia documentary production companies who offer paid on the job training opportunities to local screen practitioners. Screenwest launches a new Industry Development Fund for Workshops and Masterclasses
The fund supports the delivery of professional skills development opportunities for Western Australian screen practitioners. Screenwest re-launches the Crew Attachment Program as the Below-the-Line Crew Capacity Program
The new Below-the-Line (BTL) Crew Capacity Program provides paid, on-the-job experience to BTL screen practitioners on professional productions made in Western Australia, with productions offering BTL Mentorship and/or Attachment opportunities.
CREW SPOTLIGHT: ‘Last Days of the Space Age’
Supported through Screenwest’s Professional Skills Development Program, Western Australian practitioners Emma Jackson, Texx Montana, Tess Rowe and Nikita Calyun received practical, on the job training on the new Disney+ series.
