Melbourne International Games Week (MIGW) 2024 Travel Support

Applications close Monday, 5 August 2024 at 5:00pm AWST.

Screenwest has opened a competitive travel round for Melbourne International Games Week 2024, taking place in Victoria in October. The travel round covers Games Connect Asia Pacific (GCAP) 2024, running 7-9 October, and/or PAX Aus 2024, running 11-13 October. 

A set amount of $2,000 to assist with flights, accommodation and registration will be provided and as such, a budget is not required as part of the application. This is a competitive round and only a limited number of practitioners will be supported.

Financial support for Western Australian creatives, digital games developers and interactive practitioners to assist with the cost of travelling to key national and international screen industry markets, festivals and awards.

Applications are accepted year round except for highly attended screen industry markets / conferences.

Highly attended markets / conferences have specific funding rounds due to the volume of applications we receive.

Australian Children’s Content Summit (ACCS) 2024 Travel Support

Applications are now closed.

Screenwest has opened a competitive travel round for the Australian Children’s Content Summit (ACCS) 2024, taking place in Coffs Harbour, NSW from 27 29 August 2024.

A set amount of $2,500 to assist with flights, accommodation and registration will be provided and as such, a budget is not required as part of the application. Only a limited number of practitioners will be supported.

Gamescom 2024 Travel Support

Applications are now closed.

Screenwest has opened a competitive round to provide travel funding to a limited number of WA games studio and/or developers to attend Gamescom 2024, taking place in Cologne, Germany from 21 – 25 August 2024.

As this is a competitive funding round, a set amount of $5,000 to assist with flights, accommodation and registration will be provided and as such, a budget is not required as part of the application.

MIFF PostScript&Direct and 37ºSouth Market 2024 Travel Support

Applications are now closed.

Screenwest has announced a competitive travel round to provide a limited number of WA screen practitioners with funding support to attend Melbourne International Film Festival (MIFF) 2024 industry programs PostScript&Direct and the 37ºSouth Market, taking place in Victoria in August 2024.

In order to be eligible for support, applicants must have been invited by MIFF to attend either PostScript&Direct or 37ºSouth Market. 

For this highly competitive travel funding round, Screenwest will provide a set amount of $2,000 towards flights, accommodation and registration, an increased amount from standard national travel funding caps to further assist WA practitioners with travel costs.
