Screenwest is committed to reflecting the broad diversity of Western Australia’s community through the projects we fund, the practitioners we support, and the audiences we reach.
Screenwest acknowledges that there continues to be underrepresentation and exclusion of a range of people and groups in the screen industry. As the Western Australia’s screen funding agency, we aim to take steps to redress systemic discrimination and inequity through our leadership, policies, and funding initiatives.
The Diversity and Inclusion Fund accepts applications practitioners from underrepresented backgrounds or WA production companies to support activities which build individual skills and industry capacity; promoting greater access, equity, and inclusion in professional film sector activities.

Applications open year round.
This stream is designed to support an activity, which aims to build individual and industry capacity and skills for underrepresented groups and people. This activity could take the form of mentoring, training, an attachment, provision of a service, accommodations or supports.

Diversity and Inclusion Fund - General
Applications are currently closed.
This stream accepts applications for screen industry activities and/or projects from practitioners from CaLD, Disability and LGBTQIA+ communities, with the broader aim of increasing diverse representation.
