Editorial Assistant Attachment on International Feature Film
A Professional Attachment opportunity is available on an exciting international Feature Film with Siamese. Applications close Thursday 16, July at 5:00pm AWST.
About the Attachment
The successful candidate will complete a 6-week editorial assistant attachment under the expert guidance of an experienced editorial team where they will:
- Gain exposure to feature film editorial process;
- Gain a new understanding of editorial workflows
- Work collaboratively with editorial to meet daily and weekly targets
- Assist with the completion of a feature film
- Upskill in organisational skills/techniques
- Be introduced to new software
- Receive regular feedback

The successful recipient is anticipated to commence in the role the week of 20 July 2020.
Key Responsibilities and Requirements
In addition to the requirements in the Screenwest Crew Attachment Guidelines and Terms of Trade, the successful applicant will possess:
- Organisation
- Ability to work in a timely manner
- Eye for detail
- Confident in asking questions
- Experience with Adobe Premiere Pro
- Understanding of dramatic action in a scene i.e. reading a script and laying out the beats in order
- Rudimentary knowledge of After Effects preferable
Attachment Conditions
It is expected the successful Attachment will:
- Comply with the Producer’s workplace rules and requirements for safety and behaviour.
- Comply with all lawful and reasonable directions given to the Attachment by officers or employees of the Producer during the Term of the Attachment.
- Keep confidential any and all confidential information of the Producer that comes into the Attachment’s possession.

Applications are to be submitted by email to funding@screenwest.com.au. For emails larger than 8MB, submit your application through Screenwest’s Hightail Account.
An application receipt will be forwarded to the applicant within two working days to confirm that Screenwest has received the application. It is the applicant’s responsibility to contact Screenwest if an application receipt has not been received within this timeframe.
