Join the ASSG for a special panel event with the makers of Making Waves: The Art of Cinematic Sound.
Making Waves is a documentary about the story of sound for screen, and how sound shapes our understanding of story.
- When: Friday 7 August 8am (Perth Time)
- Where: via Zoom
Joining us live from Los Angeles will be Midge Costin, Director, Sound Editor and Head of Sound at SCA, and Producers Bobette Buster and Karen Johnson.
Tickets are FREE for ASSG members, and $6.36 (including Eventbrite fee) for non-ASSG members.
Attendees will receive an email a couple of days before the event, and on the day, with the private Zoom link and password.
All ticket sales and donations go to the Motion Picture Industry Benevolent Society. The Society was founded in 1931 by people working in the motion picture industry, and provides financial and emotional support to current or retired members of our industry who have fallen on difficult times and are in genuine need.
This is a great opportunity to geek out about film sound history, and how sound has shaped cinema as we know it.
Invite your director, editor and producer friends!
NOTE: Your e-ticket does NOT include a screening of the film. Please follow the link below to watch Making Waves at home before attending the panel!
