Two attachment opportunities on upcoming series
An Art Department professional attachment and a Continuity professional attachment are available through the Screenwest Crew Attachment Program on an upcoming scripted TV series. Applications close Friday, 22 July at 5:00pm AWST.
About the Attachments
Role: Art Department Attachment
Dates: Wednesday, 27 July – Wednesday, 7 September 2022 (six weeks)
Location: Perth, WA
The successful candidate will complete six consecutive weeks as an Art Department Attachment under the expert guidance of the Art Director where they will:
- Gain specific and practical knowledge about all aspects and various roles of the art department team.
- Have hands-on involvement in the foundational elements of this department which may include prop making, graphics, set dressing & painting.
- Gain an overall overview of the art department and how to collaborate with all the sub departments.
Role: Continuity Attachment
Dates: Monday, 1 August – Friday, 9 September 2022 (six weeks)
Location: Perth, WA
The successful candidate will complete six consecutive weeks as a Continuity Attachment under the expert guidance of the Script Supervisor where they will:
- Work alongside the Script Supervisor and gain an understanding of the role of continuity, including the fundamentals of a script breakdown & timings.
- Gain valuable on-set experience which includes close monitoring of each scene, making sure the dialogue is correct, and understanding the importance of eye-lines.
- Build a solid foundation in keeping detailed continuity notes which are utilized in the daily progress report of each day’s filming.

Key Responsibilities and Requirements
In addition to the requirements in the Screenwest Crew Attachment Guidelines and Terms of Trade, the successful applicant will possess:
Art Department
- Be fully vaccinated.
- Have identified the art department as a future career pathway.
- Willingness to assist in all areas of the department and enthusiastic to learn.
- Have great communication skills and can follow direction easily.
- Have computer skills including an understanding of Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Comfortable using tools.
Continuity
- Be fully vaccinated.
- Have identified continuity and script supervision as a future career pathway.
- Have a laptop or iPad to be able to work from.
- Have sound understanding of the role of continuity.
- Are detail orientated, methodical and have good observation skills.
