Production Assistant/Researcher attachment on upcoming documentary

About the Production
The production is a documentary set to premiere on SBS later in 2022. It will be produced by WA production company Joined Up Films (The Truth About Anxiety with Celia Pacquola, Is Australia Racist?, What Does Australia Really Think About…).
About the Attachment
Role: Production Assistant/Researcher
Dates: Monday, 14 March – Monday, 18 April 2022 (five weeks)
Location: Perth, WA
Production Company: Joined Up Films
The successful candidate will complete five consecutive weeks as a Production Assistant/Researcher Attachment under the expert guidance of Line Producer, Suzy Hounslow where they will:
- Work with and support the Production Team where the attachment will get exposure to daily production logistics and operation of a small independent production company.
- Gain exposure to departmental production processes, join weekly production and editorial meetings and gain basic understanding of and exposure to the various roles operating within an independent production office; including but not limited to production coordinator, assistant producer, line producer, series producer, edit assistant, offline editor.
- Garner hand on research methodology experience.
- Gain an understanding of post-production and production delivery process.

Key Responsibilities and Requirements
In addition to the requirements in the Screenwest Crew Attachment Guidelines and Terms of Trade, the successful applicant will possess:
- Inquisitive by nature, able to follow instructions.
- Problem solving attitude, team player and desire to learn.
- Good written and verbal communication skills with a positive attitude.
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Basic knowledge of computer technology and experience.
