A Professional Attachment opportunity is available through the Screenwest Crew Attachment Program on Feisty Dame Productions and Such Much Films’ upcoming Feature Film How to Please a Woman. Applications close Monday 29 March at 5:00pm AWST.
About the Attachment
The successful candidate will complete a 6-week Location Manager Attachment under the expert guidance of Crystal McCallum, where they will:
- work alongside the Location Manager.
- Develop an understanding of the entire location process from setting up location scouts to wrap.
- Observe the process of securing a location from start to finish, including permits, traffic management requirements, details required for the call sheet etc.
- Gain an understanding of what it takes to prepare the locations in advance of filming, as well as for the shoot days.
- Gain the necessary skills to become a locations assistant/coordinator.

Key Responsibilities and Requirements
In addition to the requirements in the Screenwest Crew Attachment Guidelines and Terms of Trade, the successful applicant will possess:
- A genuine passion and drive to work in the Locations Department
- High level of computer skills including proficiency in Word & Excel.
- A current drivers license.
Attachment Conditions
It is expected the successful Attachment will:
- Comply with the Producer’s workplace rules and requirements for safety and behaviour.
- Comply with all lawful and reasonable directions given to the Attachment by officers or employees of the Producer during the Term of the Attachment.
- Keep confidential any and all confidential information of the Producer that comes into the Attachment’s possession.

An application receipt will be forwarded to the applicant within two working days to confirm that Screenwest has received the application. It is the applicant’s responsibility to contact Screenwest if an application receipt has not been received within this timeframe.
