About the attachment
Role: Junior Post Production Coordinator Attachment
Dates: Monday, 4 September 2023 – Friday, 6 October 2023 (five weeks)
Location: West Perth, WA
Production Company: Perpetual Entertainment West
The successful candidate will complete five consecutive weeks as a paid Junior Post-Production Coordinator Attachment under the expert guidance of Production Manager Ruby Schmidt, where they will:
- Gain an understanding of the post-production process and delivery of an Australian broadcast TV series for local and international broadcast.
- Gain a better understanding of the operational roles within an Australian production company with an international footprint.
- Learn the role and requirements of a post-production coordinator in documentary television.
- Gain an understanding of the post-production process from experienced post-production crew.
- Prepare materials (press kit, stills, post-production scripts etc) for delivery in consultation with the Series Producer and Executive Producer.
- Assist with collation of work-in-progress details for production staff.
- Organise and set up media for internal and external review.
- Assist with scheduling, timesheets and ongoing production management.

Key Responsibilities and Requirements
In addition to the requirements in the Screenwest Crew Attachment Guidelines and Terms of Trade, the successful applicant will possess:
- An understanding of Excel and scheduling.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Demonstrate the ability to prioritise and manage tasks.
- A good understanding of the post-production process and workflow.
- Ability to work within a team and take direction from senior production staff.
- Demonstrated commitment to working in documentary and post-production.
- A basic understanding of post-production software.
- A high level of organisation
