With support from Screenwest a Professional Attachment opportunity is available on an upcoming Factual Series Australia VS Anxiety produced by Joined Up Films. Applications close Sunday 21 March at 5:00pm AWST.
About the Attachment
The successful candidate will complete a 5 week Director Attachment under the expert guidance of Nel Minchin where they will:
- work closely with mentor during pre and production phases.
- Work alongside mentor to provide research and gather relevant information.
- Gain experience in speaking with potential contributors.
- Assist mentor in planning and writing shoot days along with observing mentor on location.
- Gaining valuable experience in planning and writing shoots and the processes involved on location.
- Gaining knowledge in the processes involved in directing a factual program for SBS.

Key Responsibilities and Requirements
In addition to the requirements in the Screenwest Crew Attachment Guidelines and Terms of Trade, the successful applicant will possess:
- A keen interest in factual programming.
- Very good interpersonal skills.
- High level of verbal and written communication skills.
- Good organisational skills.
Attachment Conditions
It is expected the successful Attachment will:
- Comply with the Producer’s workplace rules and requirements for safety and behaviour.
- Comply with all lawful and reasonable directions given to the Attachment by officers or employees of the Producer during the Term of the Attachment.
- Keep confidential any and all confidential information of the Producer that comes into the Attachment’s possession.
