A 24 week Accounts Assistant Attachment is available through the Screenwest Crew Attachment Program on two upcoming documentary series for SBS, produced by WA production company Artemis Media: Australia's Sleep Revolution with Dr Michael Mosley and Every Family Has a Secret Series 4. Role: Accounts Assistant Attachment
Dates: Monday, 27 February – Friday, 11 August 2023 (24 weeks)
Location: Fremantle, WA

The successful candidate will complete 24 consecutive weeks as an Accounts Assistant Attachment on Australia’s Sleep Revolution with Dr Michael Mosley and then following with Every Family Has a Secret Series 4, under the expert guidance of Production Accountants Tania Forlano and Roslyn Park, where they will:
- Work within an established workflow that manages the daily production accounting of a multi-episode documentary series in a fast-paced environment.
- Gain experience in accounts payable data entry in the accounting software Xero.
- Learn how to reconcile petty cash and credit card statements in Excel.
- Be integrated into the production office team environment where goals, work and knowledge are shared to achieve a fast turnaround.
- Gain knowledge of industry specific accounts reporting practices.
- Sit in on and contribute to production team meetings regarding production costs.
- Liaise with Accounts manager and internal stakeholders (production managers and coordinators, vendors).
- Gain the skills and insights into aspects of production accounting and the workflow required to deliver a three-part and a four-part format series.
- Receive a genuine career development opportunity for individuals who have an affinity with finance/accounting.

Key Responsibilities and Requirements
In addition to the requirements in the Screenwest Crew Attachment Guidelines and Terms of Trade, the successful applicant will possess:
Essential:
- Must have a genuine interest to pursue a career in production accounting.
- Good knowledge of Word, Excel (Intermediary) and Outlook.
- Good written and verbal communication.
- Strong work ethic.
- Eye for detail.
- Fast data entry.
- Ability to work to tight deadlines and take direction from senior staff.
- Able to work independently or as part of a team.
Recommended:
- Extra consideration will be given to those applicants who have prior project accounting or coordination expertise or have skills that are easily transferable.
