About the production
Revealed: Renee Gracie follows the first Australian woman to compete full-time in Supercars in fourteen years, Renee Gracie, as she attempts to re-enter V8 racing since retiring from the sport in 2017. Using Renee’s individual experiences Revealed: Renee Gracie is a story about exploitation, empowerment and resilience, and is a showcase of what women have to do to succeed, thrive and survive in a man’s world.

Role: Assistant Editor Attachment
Dates: Monday, 29 May – Friday, 30 June 2023
Location: Perth, WA
Production Company: Rush Films
The successful candidate will complete five consecutive weeks on a documentary feature; as an Assistant Editor Attachment under the expert guidance of Directors/Editors Frances Elliott and Samantha Marlowe where they will:
- Build on existing knowledge of post-production processes and protocols.
- Acquire skills to track and manage media.
- Experience importing and transcoding rushes to an offline editing format.
- Participate in post-production meetings and assist in running a smooth post-production pathway.
- Work alongside an archive producer to assist with management of material.
- Provide technical and practical support to the editors.
- Observe the process of editorial decisions.

In addition to the requirements in the Screenwest Crew Attachment Guidelines and Terms of Trade, the successful applicant will posses:
- A genuine interest to pursue a career in editing, demonstrated through previous editing experience.
- Team player and positive attitude with a strong work ethic.
- Excellent organisational skill and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and ability to work to tight deadlines.
- Good written and verbal communication.
