A young Aboriginal man helps his disabled brother escape from their abusive life in a remote Australian Aboriginal community with the aid of a Mamu (Dreaming Creature).
“I love that YULUBIDYI is a great indication and production of cross-cultural exchange, collaboration and reconciliation,” said Producer Glen Stasiuk.
“It was an amazing experience being invited into Parnngurr community via Curtis and his family and working with a wonderful cast and crew in and on magical country to tell an Aboriginal Martu story that has resonated around the nation and world.”
YULUBIDYI – UNTIL THE END will screen at the Best Of Australian Shorts Program at Camelot Outdoor Cinema on Thursday, 28 February 2019 as part of the Flickerfest Tour.
YULUBIDYI – UNTIL THE END was developed and produced in association with Screenwest and Lotterywest through the Screenwest Elevate Program.

A modern comedy chronicling the dysfunctional relationship between a mother and daughter entirely through their phone calls.
CALLING will screen at the Short Laughs Comedy Program at Camelot Outdoor Cinema on Saturday, 2 March 2019 as part of the Flickerfest Tour.
CALLING was developed and produced in association with Screenwest and Lotterywest through the Screenwest Generate Program.

Alex Roberts (The Jinja Assassin) is a high school drama teacher by day and the second-best air guitarist in the world by night. We follow Alex as he travels from his hometown of Perth all the way to Finland to compete in the 2018 Air Guitar World Championships.
“It’s an honour to be representing WA with our documentary in Tropfest,” said Writer/Director/Producer Will Faulkner.
“We followed Alex from Perth to Melbourne and all the way to Oulu in Finland, filming him as he battled to become the Number One air guitarist in the world.
“But the film is about more than air guitar; it’s about how silliness and ridiculousness can heal and help you overcome some tough moments in life.
“Tune into Facebook Watch to see the film and look out for some iconic WA locations that become stages for The Jinja Assassin’s wild air guitar routine.”

Hearse drivers John and Terry give a heroic backstory to their recently deceased passenger, Barry. But when John believes the child-rescuing-flying-doctor is still alive and causes the hearse to break down in his frantic effort to check, they must find another way to get Barry to the cemetery on time.

An intimate portrait of internationally renowned Australian artist Matt Doust, who died suddenly from an epileptic fit in 2013.

“Mat de Koning and I have been working on this project in the sidelines for a long time,” said Producer Brooke Silcox.
“It is a project very close to both of our hearts given that Matt Doust was our childhood friend. To get the opportunity from AIDC to pitch 29 YEARS EIGHT DAYS to international decision makers is a real honour.
“It is a testament to the talent Matt Doust had, the support from the community of eminent people involved and the pure dedication of Mat de Koning in filming over 16 years.”
29 YEARS EIGHT DAYS is currently raising funds to support the production and associated impact campaign through the Documentary Australia Foundation.
Brooke Silcox received project and professional development support from Screenwest and Lotterywest through the Screenwest Emerging Producer Initiative.

“GLORIA TO MY DYSPHORIA is a deeply personal tale of love surviving an extreme physical and mental transformation,” said Producer Cody Greenwood.
“The directors, Frances Elliott and Samantha Marlowe, are close friends with their subjects Lauren and Elle, and have closely documented the gender transition over the course of three years, capturing a level of intimacy audiences rarely get access to.
“The documentary is now at a stage where we are ready to attract marketplace and complete post-production. The FACTory is a unique opportunity for us to pitch to world class decision makers and attract the financing partners that the film requires.”
