WA Made Film Festival Program Release
The inaugural festival held over 3 days will feature 5 features and 29 short films across 3 city locations.
From documentaries to comedy and drama the program features a variety of different works including Maziar Lahooti’s BELOW and acclaimed shorts JUDAS COLLAR, YULUBIDYI UNTIL THE END and I’M NOT HURTING YOU gracing screens.
WA Made Film Festival aims to create more platforms for WA filmmakers to showcase their works to a home-grown audience.
Festival Director Matthew Eeles said, “Jasmine and I are both very passionate supporters of the WA film industry. The WA Made Film Festival program reflects the hard work and dedication this state’s very talented filmmakers put into creating such a vibrant industry.
“We’re very proud to be able to include the Perth premiere of the phenomenal BELOW and the world premiere of the low-budget comedy, PUNCHIN’ DARTS. We encourage everyone, whether involved in the local industry or not, to come out and support WA filmmaking talent.”
WA Made Film Festival is supported by Screenwest through the Audience and Community Engagement Fund. Screenwest CEO Willie Rowe congratulates the team on their first program saying, “Screenwest is thrilled to see more screen culture offerings emerge that showcase local works. We look forward to the first festival and congratulations to all the projects programmed.”

WA Made Film Festival is a brand-new film festival featuring WA made shorts, documentaries and feature films at the stunning Palace Cinemas Raine Square right in the heart of Perth city. WA Made Film Festival will run on 13, 14 and 15 March 2020 with the aim to grow even bigger over the coming years!
Supported by Screenwest and Lotterywest, this festival aims to showcase and celebrate talented cast and crew, stunning locations and unique stories all from Western Australia.
