Updated Scripted Development Investment guidelines announced
In response to industry feedback and the changing needs of the local sector, Screenwest is pleased to announce it has revised its Scripted Development guidelines and is rolling out two updated scripted development funds. Practitioners are invited to a Q&A session on 6 November to hear a summary of both funds, unpack the updated guidelines and ask questions.
In response to industry feedback and the changing needs of the local sector, Screenwest is pleased to announce it has revised its scripted development guidelines.
In March 2023, a two-part industry consultation process was announced asking industry to provide feedback on how scripted development was working in WA and how best Screenwest could evolve its programs and guidelines to support, attract and retain WA talent, increase crew capacity and grow WA production levels. Thank you to everyone who participated in the process.
Two revised scripted development funds are being rolled out – the Scripted Concept Development Fund and the Scripted Project Development Fund. These updated guidelines replace the Scripted Development Investment Fund.
The two updated scripted development funds focus on the development of scripted projects that have a connection to market and have a high potential of converting to production outcomes in Western Australia as well as support talent development pathways.
As part of the updated guidelines rollout, Screenwest are launching two new programs designed to facilitate connection to the market, with further details to be announced shortly.
