Screenwest Travel Fund to reopen
The Screenwest Travel Fund is reopening on 17 May 2022 with brand new guidelines.
We are pleased to announce the Screenwest Travel Fund is reopening on 17 May 2022 with brand new guidelines.
The Screenwest Travel Fund will assist with the costs of travel for Western Australian creatives to attend key national and international screen industry markets, or festivals and awards.
Funding will be available for two types of activities:
- Screen Industry Markets. Applications will need to demonstrate a slate of projects with market interest and a significant track record. Funding will be allocated to applicants looking to solidify finance and market partners for a project / slate of projects.
- Festivals & Awards. For practitioners nominated for a major award, or to represent project/s with confirmed screenings in a major festival (see eligibility).
Applications will be open year round, however, some highly attended screen industry markets / conferences will have specific funding rounds to allow for the high volume of applications we receive.
The Screenwest Travel Fund is a contribution only and is highly competitive. Support and approval is not automatic and will depend on the strength of the application and the availability of funds.

How to Apply
Travel Fund applications will be accepted through the Screenwest SmartyGrants portal.
The guidelines and eligibility criteria are available on the Travel Support page of the Screenwest website.
