Screenwest is pleased to announce the development of the 2022-2025 Screenwest Indigenous Screen Strategy.
“Screenwest is extremely proud of the achievements of the Western Australian Indigenous screen sector. Practitioners have been nominated for major national screen awards and their projects broadcast on national television networks and screened at national and international film festivals. We look forward to continuing to work with WA’s Indigenous screen practitioners and industry partners to ensure the sector continues to go from strength to strength.” said Rikki Lea Bestall, Screenwest CEO.
Indigenous consultancy firm Kambarang Services has been appointed by Screenwest to facilitate the development of the Strategy which will include consulting with WA’s Indigenous screen practitioners and our industry partners.
As part of the Strategy development process workshops will be held on Tuesday, 21 June and Thursday, 23 June.
To start the development process Screenwest invites you to take part in a short survey. The survey closes at 5:00pm Friday, 3 June 2022. The information you provide will inform the development of the new Strategy, so we need your voice, experience and feedback to continue to strengthen and grow the sector and build on the outcomes of the Screenwest Indigenous Screen Strategy 2016-2020.
