Screenwest and SPA Screen Industry Code of Practice Information Session
Screenwest will be adopting the Screen Industry Code of Practice developed by both Screen Producers Australia (SPA) and the Media, Entertainment and Arts Alliance (MEAA) as its principal Code of Conduct regarding bullying, harassment, sexual harassment, discrimination and other behaviour in the workplace.
From Monday, 1 July 2019 Screenwest will expect all projects approved for funding to implement the Screen Industry Code of Practice. Producers must, so far as is reasonably practical, implement the Screen Industry Code of Practice as part of its warranties in Screenwest funding contracts from this date onwards.
To help producers understand the Screen Industry Code of Practice, SPA together with Screenwest will be hosting an information session Tuesday, 16 July 2019 from 10:00am until 12:00pm AWST. The session will be live streamed at screenwest.com.au/live.
The session will be run by Pravin Menon, SPA’s Director of Government Relations & Operations.
