A Professional Attachment opportunity is available through the Screenwest Crew Attachment Program on an upcoming Television Series Outback Truckers series 9 Applications close Monday 12 October at 5:00pm AWST.
About the Attachment
The successful candidate will complete a six-week Production Coordinator under the expert guidance of Sophia Vertannes where they will:
- Have the opportunity to understand the role of the production co-ordinator in documentary and in particular the roles in the production office.
- Have the opportunity to sit in on and contribute to weekly team meetings regarding story and shoot updates.
- Have the opportunity to co-ordinate a shoot from start to finish.
- Have the opportunity to understand the different roles in a documentary production of this nature and their interaction with each other.
- Have the opportunity to understand the role of a production within a production company.
- Have the opportunity to understand the role of the Production Co-ordinator in Post Production.
- Gain the skills and confidence to work as a production co-ordinator on a documentary series.
- Develop skills in looking ahead and planning for potential pressure points that could stop a shoot from progressing.

Key Responsibilities and Requirements
In addition to the requirements in the Screenwest Crew Attachment Guidelines and Terms of Trade, the successful applicant will possess:
- the ability to follow instructions, use initiative and common sense.
- Strong problem solving skills
- the ability to communicate clearly
- understanding of their preferred learning still (ie observational or hands on)
- basic word, excel and computer skills.
Attachment Conditions
It is expected the successful Attachment will:
- Comply with the Producer’s workplace rules and requirements for safety and behaviour.
- Comply with all lawful and reasonable directions given to the Attachment by officers or employees of the Producer during the Term of the Attachment.
- Keep confidential any and all confidential information of the Producer that comes into the Attachment’s possession.
