Role: Post-Production Supervisor Attachment
Dates: Monday, 3 April 2023 – Friday, 5 May 2023
Location: Perth, WA

The successful candidate will complete five consecutive weeks on an upcoming documentary series as a Post-Production Supervisor Attachment under the expert guidance of the Post-Production Supervisor Ivan Rojas where they will:
- Develop a meaningful understanding of the fundamentals of the post-production process including data wrangling, assistant editing, storytelling, improvement of communication skills and progress tracking.
- Gain experience using DaVinci Resolve by managing media and transcoding footage to be used on editorial.
- Liaise with the camera and sound department.
- Develop organisational skills to track and manage a high volume of footage.
- Gain experience using Avid Media Composer to prepare media for multiple editors.
- Learn how to customize Avid workflow and tools to maximize creative output.
- Observe the process of editorial decisions for fine cut.

Key Responsibilities and Requirements
In addition to the requirements in the Screenwest Crew Attachment Guidelines and Terms of Trade, the successful applicant will:
- Demonstrate a genuine commitment to pursuing a career in Post-Production.
- Have a sound understanding of computer technology and experience using Avid Media Composer software.
- Have good written and verbal communication skills.
- Have a good work ethic and attention to detail.
- Have a problem-solving attitude and desire to learn.
Extra consideration will be given to those applicants who have:
- Experience using DaVinci Resolve software.
- Experience within First Nations communities and/or First Nations film productions
- A portfolio of previous experience in Post-Production
