I AM MOTHER will have its worldwide premiere at the 2019 Sundance Film Festival.
I AM MOTHER joins five other Australian films, outstripping the previous record for most Australian films at Sundance set at the 1997 festival.
Director Grant Sputore said I AM MOTHER getting into Sundance was a huge opportunity.
“You set this little plan or model for yourself of what you hope a film will do, and this is very much the next step in that story,” Grant said.
“We hope Sundance will help I AM MOTHER build the kind of momentum we need to release the film and have people find it when it ultimately goes to theatres.”
“I AM MOTHER is an extraordinary debut feature from Grant,” said Screenwest Scripted Executive Ross Grayson Bell. “The story twists and production design are phenomenal.”
“It’s an honour for Screenwest to be involved with this film – we can’t wait for the world to see it!”
