Efficient Contracting Panel presented by Screenwest and Beach Street Lawyers
As a part of Screenwest’s Skills and Development initiatives, this event will cover how producers can best work with lawyers and Business Affairs to ensure their contracting processes are both efficient and effective.
Efficient Contracting – Working with Your Lawyer and Screenwest Business Affairs Team is a panel discussion that will uncover the important roles of lawyers and business affairs managers within your production process and how to work best with these teams.
The panel will feature:
- Artemis Media’s Celia Tait
- Metamorflix’s Renee Kennedy
- Line Producer and Production Accountant Susie Campbell
- Beach Street Lawyers’ Luci Silvestrin, and
- Screenwest Business & Legal Affairs Manager Hannah Outtrim.
The session is a must attend for emerging to mid-career producers and those looking to gain insight into contracting and working with Screenwest’s Business Affairs Department. Topics will include a discussion of the roles of those involved with contract negotiation, what to expect during the contracting process, and how to budget and keep costs within your control.
“The contracting process is so integral to film production and this event will provide practitioners with a foundation to build on as they advance in their careers in the industry,” says Interim Talent Development Manager Chantal Chateauneuf.
Please note that this session is only for Western Australian resident screen practitioners as topics discussed will be specific to Western Australia.
