Efficient Negotiating Seminar
After a lot of thinking on how multiparty negotiations for film and TV financing can be made easier and more efficient, the team at Blueprint Law has developed the Efficient Negotiation Initiative to assist producers and their legal representatives.
The Efficient Negotiation Initiative encourages parties to front-load their negotiations (to avoid last minute surprises) and provides useful documents which should assist in getting all parties to the deal (financiers, sales agent, completion guarantor etc as well as producers themselves) across the line quicker. It is hoped that the initiative will keep legal costs under control and will reduce the number of situations where production commences without financing officially being closed.
Ted Cawrey is a Special Counsel at Blueprint Law, a leading technology, media and entertainment law firm. Their specialist lawyers are experts in their fields, and have exceptional local and international experience. Bluerint have an outstanding reputation for combining first-rate legal skills with extensive industry knowledge and commercial understanding.
Brad Taylor has extensive experience in membership management (SPA & AWG) and supporting screen practitioners from early career and developing practitioners through to experienced producers. Brad is also heavily involved in the SPA Connect business-to-business domestic and international engagement program, Ones to Watch and supporting SCREEN FOREVER delegates leading into, and on the ground, at the Conference.
