100% Wolf Transfigures into a Small Screen Masterpiece
The “Made for Cinema” Australian-animated film 100% Wolf is being released straight to Premium Video on Demand, making it available to rent at home from Friday, 29 May 2020.
Families will be able to enjoy this vibrant and fun animation while at home with all the family, including four-legged friends. 100% Wolf is a fun coming-of-age animation that explores themes of friendship and acceptance and is a must-watch for all families, pet-owners and animation fans.
Adapted from the book of the same name, 100% Wolf is produced by Flying Bark Productions, with animation and post-production by Western Australia’s Siamese, base in Mount Lawley.
“100% Wolf is a landmark project for Siamese and places the spotlight on our state as contender to facilitate future animation projects of this scale,” said Francesca Hope Producer/General Manager at Siamese.
She added, “From the onset I wanted the film to provide opportunities for as many WA creatives across different disciplines. Supported by our amazing and generous Art Director, Shane Devries, we began with a team of illustrators banding together to create the world and characters of the film. Over the two years, keeping the production moving forward and communication open with our Producing partners, I greatly acknowledge the production and technical expertise of the team at Siamese.
“We see local collaborations being integral to the growth of the WA post sector, Siamese worked with Sound Designer Ric Curtin and Xoe Baird and with Boogie Monster for the film grade and finish.
“Although there have been many ‘wow’ moments along the way , it is very hard to go pass the Orchestral music record, sitting in the halls of Hale, with industry great Mal Luker and the very talented, Ash Gibson Greig, listening to the West Australian Symphony Orchestra play the music cues to the film.”
100% Wolf also boasts a stellar voice cast. The lead role of Freddy the werewolf is voiced by actor and Triple J radio host, Ilai Swindells (Redfern Now, The Code), with a stellar supporting voice cast including Samara Weaving (Three Billboards Outside Epping, Missouri), Jai Courtney (Storm Boy, The Suicide Squad), Magda Szubanski (Kath and Kim, Babe), Jane Lynch (Glee, Space Force), Rhys Darby (Jumanji, Yes Man) and Australian comedian Akmal Saleh.
CEO of Screenwest, Willie Rowe said, “We are so pleased to have supported this project with the assistance of Lotterywest, as Siamese are a formidable West Australian animation and post-production company.”
He added, “100% Wolf is destined to become a family favourite, especially for WA audiences who might notice some local landmarks and familiar settings throughout the film.”
100% Wolf is available to rent online from Friday, 29 May 2020.
100% Wolf was Produced by Flying Bark Productions in association with De-Fi Media and Siamese, with principal investment from Screen Australia, in association with Screenwest, Lotterywest and Screen NSW.
