Clare Toonen

Clare Toonen is responsible for ensuring the smooth running of all communications activities including marketing, publicity, festivals and events, as well as Screenwest’s website, newsletter and social media. Clare is a communications specialist and award-winning screenwriter. Her screenwriting credits include ABC iview Indigenous comedy series, KGB (2019) and the short film You, Me and Karen (2017) which won the Channel 9 Award for Excellence in Scriptwriting. Most recently she has worked as a screenwriting lecturer for Curtin University as well as a freelance Script Coordinator and Producer’s Assistant for production companies including Veerhuis Pictures, Galactic Baby, Mad Kids and Bunya Entertainment.
