The Business of Film and Televisions Drama Workshop

Specialising in the business of film and TV production, veteran film journalist and writer/presenter, Sandy George will be in Perth at the Fielder St Creative Hub in East Perth to host THE BUSINESS OF FILM AND TELEVISION DRAMA WORKSHOP on Tuesday, 11 September 2018.

This half-day workshop for the emerging sector will be all about:

• the different sources of finance available for feature filmmaking and what sources have what strings attached 
• how to put together the finance plans required by government and other investors, and 
• understanding recoupment schedules and how and why returns flow the way they do 

The session will include thought-provoking discussion of various research findings including what specific films onScreen Australia’s slate have been the best financial performers. 

It will also provide very practical advice; on the dangers of deferring fees for example. The session will be particularly aimed at emerging producers, directors and writers.
