Researcher Attachment for Practitioner from Underrepresented Groups Application Deadline

A Professional Attachment opportunity is available through the Screenwest Crew Attachment Program for a Practitioner from an underrepresented group, on  upcoming Television Series What Does Australia Really Think.

The successful candidate will complete a five-week Researcher Attachment under the expert guidance of Christian Horgan where they will:

• work closely with Producers during pre-production of a 3-part series for SBS.
• work alongside an experienced mentor to provide Internet research and gather relevant information.
• gain experience in speaking with potential contributors.
• assist mentor in planning and writing shoots.
• work with Production Manager and Production Coordinator with relation to the shoots.
• Gaining knowledge in the processes involved in researching and producing a factual series.
• gain valuable experience planning and writing shoots
• Gain an understanding of the steps involved in coordinating shoots
• Gaining industry contacts.
