Vale Robin Eastwood
Western Australian line producer and production manager Robin Eastwood passed away last month, with Screenwest acknowledging her decades of invaluable work within the WA screen industry.
Screenwest is saddened to learn about the recent passing of Western Australian line producer and production manager, Robin Eastwood.
Robin’s screen career spanned more than three decades and incorporated documentaries, variety programs, television dramas, and TV commercials, as well as long-form factual television programming.
For the past 20 years, she worked with Perth-based production company Artemis Media on many WA documentary series, with the company paying tribute:
“Robin has been a force in our industry, and we’ve had the privilege of working with her over the last 20 years on many series; Desperately Seeking Sheila, Who Do You Think You Are?, Monash and Me, and Every Family has a Secret.
“As a line producer and production manager Robin set the standard, bringing professionalism and compassion into her work. Her teams felt looked after and supported, and she generously shared her knowledge through her mentoring.” said Artemis Media.
“Robin’s passing is a huge loss for our documentary sector and the WA screen industry as a whole. She was an incredible asset to the Artemis team and to all the local screen stories she contributed to. On behalf of all our staff I’d like to extend my condolences to Robin’s family, friends and colleagues.” said Rikki Lea Bestall, Screenwest CEO.
