Role: Online Editor Assistant Attachment
Location: Perth, WA

Attachment #1:
- Dates: Monday, 2 December 2024 – Friday, 17 January 2025 (seven weeks inclusive of a two week Christmas/New Year hiatus)
- Mentors: Ahmad Fudhayl (Colourist and Online Editor) and Wade K Savage (Online Assistant)
Attachment #2:
- Dates: Monday, 6 January – Friday, 7 February 2025 (five weeks)
- Mentors: Becket Broda (Colourist and Online editor) and Wade K Savage (Online Assistant)
Under the expert guidance of of experienced mentors, the successful candidates will:
- Assist in conforming and prepping media of an episode ready for online.
- Gain an understanding of organizing and managing media assets.
- Gain an understanding of post-production schedules and planning for media to be ready for online to commence.
- Gain an understanding of using a graphics tracking document.
- Check that delivered graphics conform to required delivery technical specifications.
- Develop and understand the process and requirements in grading an episode for a documentary series.
- Develop and understand the process and requirements in online for a documentary series.
WA First Nations practitioners and WA practitioners from historically underrepresented groups are encouraged to apply.
If the right candidate cannot be found for these roles, the attachments may be offered in another department.
Key Responsibilities and Requirements
In addition to the requirements in the Screenwest BTL Crew Capacity Program – Applicant Guidelines and Terms of Trade, the successful applicants will possess:
- The ability to multitask and work collaboratively with a diverse team.
- Basic understanding of Excel and Word.
- Working knowledge of AVID Media Composer and DaVinci Resolve.
- Good attention to detail.
- Good organisational and communication skills.
Additional consideration will be given to applicants with the ability to problem solve and strong technical skills.
