Role: Production Manager Attachment
Dates: Monday, 5 August – Friday, 6 September 2024 (five weeks full time*)
Location: Perth, WA
Production Companies: White Spark Pictures
The successful candidate will complete five consecutive weeks as a paid Production Manager Attachment under the expert guidance of a mentor, where they will:
- Gain a sound understanding of the production office management, stakeholder liaison, production and post-production workflows for a world-class 360 VR documentary production with an award-winning team.
- Gain a first-hand understanding of workflow, pre-production through to post-production.
- Gain an understanding of location and stakeholder management.
- Develop technical and creative skills in budgeting, scheduling, communication and logistics for documentary.
- Gain experience in deliverables for VR Cinema release.
Key Responsibilities and Requirements
In addition to the requirements in the Screenwest Crew Attachment Guidelines and Terms of Trade, the successful applicant will possess:
- A good understanding of MS Excel (inclusive of formulas).
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Good attention to detail and efficiency.
Desirable attributes include:
- A higher education qualification in film and television (or similar disciplines).
- A producing credit on at least one short film project.
- An interest in factual production and cutting-edge technology use in storytelling.

Role: 360 VR Post-Production Attachment
Dates: Monday, 5 August – Friday, 6 September 2024 (five weeks full time*)
Location: Perth, WA
Production Companies: White Spark Pictures
The successful candidate will complete five consecutive weeks as a paid 360 VR Post-Production Attachment under the expert guidance of a mentor, where they will:
- Observe and operate VR online and offline edit tasks inclusive of stitching imagery, creative editorial decision making and observing working relationship between editor and director.
- Gain meaningful understanding of the post-production process including data wrangling, data management, storytelling, progress tracking and post-production communication requirements.
- Gain hands on experience working on a fast-paced post-production workflow for a 360 virtual reality documentary project.
- Build experience with Premiere Pro and Da Vinci Resolve software and workflow for a 360 virtual reality documentary.
- Observe directorial and editorial decision-making processes in the offline stage of post-production.
Key Responsibilities and Requirements
In addition to the requirements in the Screenwest Crew Attachment Guidelines and Terms of Trade, the successful applicant will possess:
- Experience with online, offline editing and/or visual effects programs.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Good work ethic and attention to detail.
- Technical proficiency and problem-solving abilities.
Desirable attributes include:
- Experience with Premiere Pro software.
- Cert 4 Diploma in screen media, film and television or equivalent.
* The Production Company will consider part-time applicants for the right candidate; with the timeline being pro-rated over a longer period to cover the full time five (5) weeks.
