Perth party-rock original band TRIANGLE FIGHT is calling for short film and film clip submissions from WA FILMMAKERS, ANIMATORS and ORIGINAL MUSICIANS for their premiere screening in September.
If selected, the works will be screened at Luna Palace Cinema in Leederville alongside the short film created for TRIANGLE FIGHT’s recently released album THE BLOOD GIANT: A TEMPORAL CANTATA.
The works will also be promoted through LUNA PALACE and TRIANGLE FIGHT’s associated networks.
Submissions close Friday, 31 August 2018. The final line-up will be announced Monday, 10 September 2018.
How to submit
TRIANGLE FIGHT will give special consideration to works that are EXPERIMENTAL in nature, have an added dimension of alternate-reality engagement and those that have a strong musical component.
Submissions should be no longer than 10 minutes.
You must also submit a 30 second trailer of your submission to be used for promotional purposes in the case that your video is selected.
Both videos must be in MP4 format and submitted in a Google Drive link.
Visit the Triangle Fight Facebook Community Screening Submissions event page for full details on submitting your film for consideration.
Please email Tess Stephenson at tess@doremedia.com.au if you require further information.
About THE BLOOD GIANT: A TEMPORAL CANTATA
TRIANGLE FIGHT is a Perth party-rock band fronted by filmmaker Paulo Gonzalez. They created a short film to accompany their recently released album, THE BLOOD GIANT: A TEMPORAL CANTATA.
The dense ARG film THE BLOOD GIANT echoes Pink Floyd’s ‘The Wall’, meshing animation with live action as a narrative accompaniment to a musical work.
It draws inspiration from Wham City Comedy (creators of This House Has People In It), Alan Resnick (Unedited Footage of a Bear) and Matthew Barney (The Cremaster Cycle). The film is full of hidden Easter eggs and messages that can only be discovered by an intense examination of the film.
THE BLOOD GIANT: A TEMPORAL CANTATA is currently available through Bandcamp and Spotify.
