Screenwest Welcomes Lauren Elliott
Screenwest is excited to welcome Lauren Elliott as Head of Communications
Lauren joins the Communications team this week after 8 months working with Bunya Entertainment as Series Producer for Australian sketch comedy series, The Moth Effect, which is now streaming on Amazon Prime.
As Head of Communications, she will be responsible for developing and implementing Screenwest’s communications strategy. She will oversee all communications activities including marketing, public relations, publicity, partnerships, events and announcements.

Lauren has a wealth of experience in film & TV, marketing, public relations and events having worked in Australia, the UK and the US over the last decade. She is the founder of WA production company, Galactic Baby which she launched in 2019 after seven years at the helm of Mad Kids, and four years as PR Director for Muse Bureau. In 2019, Lauren won a 40under40 award which declared her one of WA’s leading entrepreneurs under the age of 40.
Screenwest is also excited to welcome Clare Toonen as Communications Coordinator. Clare will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of all communications activities including marketing, publicity, festivals and events, as well as Screenwest’s website, newsletter and social media.
