Screenwest launches the Targeted Industry Capacity Building Program
The program is designed to fill industry capacity gaps in longform scripted drama to better service growing production levels in the State. The program calls for bold ideas to increase the capacity in unit, lighting, gripping/rigging and catering. Applications close Thursday, 6 February 2025 at 5:00pm AWST.
Screenwest is pleased to launch its new Targeted Industry Capacity Building Program, with applications now open.
The program is made possible through the Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries’ workforce capacity support for the WA screen industry, announced by Culture and Arts Minister, Hon David Templeman earlier this year.
The Targeted Industry Capacity Building Program is designed to fill industry capacity gaps in longform scripted drama, fast tracking growth in key sectors of the WA screen industry to better service growing production levels in the State.
The program is calling for bold ideas to increase the capacity in the following sectors:
- Unit;
- Lighting;
- Gripping/Rigging;
- Catering.
Screenwest will offer up to $100,000 per proposal. Funding is limited and competitive.
Screenwest encourages applications from First Nations Australians and people from historically underrepresented groups.
How to Apply
The application deadline is Thursday, 6 February 2025 at 5:00pm AWST.
Applications will be accepted through the Screenwest SmartyGrants portal.
