Screenwest Diversity & Inclusion Funding Program now open for applications!
Applications for the Diveristy and Inclusion Fund - General stream close Monday 6 September 5:00pm AWST.
Screenwest is excited to announce it has re-opened the Diversity & Inclusion Fund. This program has two funding streams – General and Access. Applications for the General Stream close Monday 6 September 5:00pm AWST.
After rolling out a number of specific diversity & inclusion initiatives, including, Different Lens, Out Now and Filming Our Futures, Screenwest is pleased to release a more streamlined and targeted Diversity and Inclusion Fund in 2021!
Diversity and Inclusion Funding is designed to drive and support greater representation from select, underrepresented groups of Western Australian Screen Industry practitioners. The fund was created to better reflect the diversity of the wider Western Australian community on and off screen, through a number of key strategic focus areas.
The program has been reworked slightly from the previous iteration to offer support to projects and activities from practitioners from culturally and linguistically diverse (CaLD) backgrounds, practitioners living with disability, LGBTQIA+ practitioners, as well as people who are intersectional of these groups.
Projects and activities that attempt to close any current identified skills gaps areas within the Western Australian screen industry may be prioritised.
