The 2018 Not-For-Profit Governance Forum, held last Tuesday, 16 February at Brookfield Place Conference Centre, featured a presentation by Screenwest Chair Janelle Marr and a screening of selected Indigenous short films.
The annual event run by the Governance Institute of Australia is designed to support not-for-profit organisations and provide practical advice on integrating governance expectations and risk management at a strategic and operational level.
“It was a real delight to speak at the Governance Institute of Australia Forum regarding mega shifts, strategic positioning for the long term and sustainable business models in the not-for-profit sector,” said Janelle Marr.
“Thank you to Gilbert + Tobin, and in particular Dalveen Balyea, for putting on another amazing event and inviting me to present.”
The Forum also screened a selection of Indigenous short films from the Screenwest archives.
Screenwest Chief Financial Officer Lorraine Keane also attended the presentation and remarked on the informative speech by Janelle Marr as well as the emotional impact of the short films.
