Seeking Expressions of Interest to Create Screenwest’s 2022 Trailer
Screenwest is seeking expressions of interest to create a dynamic, slick and impressive trailer that showcases, promotes and celebrates all aspects of the WA screen industry.
The Brief
The aim of our 2022 trailer is to create awareness of, celebrate and promote Western Australia’s burgeoning and impressive screen industry, our recent and high profile productions, our stunning and expansive filming locations and our talented creatives, cast and crew. We want our trailer to reinforce that we are becoming a competitive and sought after filming destination for local, national and international filmmakers.
Our Audience
- Local, national and international filmmakers looking to film in Western Australia
- The Western Australian filmmakers who have created the productions showcased
- Key Screenwest stakeholders (including funders and potential funders)
- Screen industry representatives attending industry events and conferences
- General public attending film festivals and screen industry events
Our trailer must:
- be dynamic, slick and impressive
- be wholly produced by a WA production company and WA creatives
- include a varied selection of Screenwest-supported projects footage (to be supplied)
- showcase stunning Western Australian filming locations (to be supplied)
- include Screenwest’s animated tri-badge logo with Government and Lotterywest crests (to be supplied)
- not include extreme violence or course language or nudity
- feature music cleared for worldwide use in all media in perpetuity
- create awareness of, celebrate and promote Western Australia’s burgeoning and impressive screen industry
Budget and details:
- Budget: $15,000 + GST
- Duration: 2 minutes
- Deliverables / Format: DCP, Pro Res 422 and H264 + captions
- Timeline: 6 weeks from Monday 18 October to Friday 26 November 2021
- Final Master Delivery Deadline: Friday 26 November 2021
Selection Criteria
Screenwest will select a proposal based on:
- Creativity and distinctiveness of the proposal
- Track record of creatives / company in producing similar work
- Adherence to the brief and budget

Screenwest is Western Australia’s not-for-profit screen funding organisation, supporting the development and production of film, television, and interactive projects in WA.
We also provide funding to support diverse and Indigenous creators, to provide capacity development opportunities for local practitioners, and to support screen culture in Western Australia.

How to Submit:
Expressions of interest should be a proposal of up to two-pages including a background on the creatives / company, links to similar or relevant work, a top-line budget & schedule and your vision for the trailer.
Proposals are to be submitted to Lauren Elliott by Friday, 8 October 2021 at 9:00am AWST.
