Screen Producers Australia Director, Government Relations & Policy James Cheatley is heading to Perth to run an information and training session on Tuesday, 21 August at 1:00pm at the Screenwest offices.
The session is open to everyone and will cover:
- the industry code (covering sexual harassment, harassment, bullying, victimisation and vilification)
- Screen Production in Australia report
- a general policy update, and
- a report on Prism (a policy event focused on feature films).
The session will be followed by a Q&A.

Read more about the recently released Australian Entertainment Industry Codes, which were developed by Screen Producers Australia and Live Performance Australia in collaboration with the Media, Entertainment and Arts Alliance.
It is hoped that a standard industry code will be put in place for all entertainment organisations in the future. In the interim, Screenwest has adopted both the Screen Producers Association (SPA) policy; Australian Screen Industry Code of Conduct Sexual Harassment and Bullying and the Screen Australia Code of conduct to prevent sexual harassment.
