Screen Australia’s Head of First Nations, Angela Bates heading to Perth to meet WA First Nations filmmakers
Western Australian First Nations screen practitioners are invited to attend a morning tea and one-to-one meeting with Angela to discuss Screen Australia’s First Nations programs, initiatives and industry support.
Western Australian First Nations screen practitioners are invited to come to a morning tea and have a yarn with Angela Bates, Screen Australia’s Head of First Nations on Thursday, 5 December 2024.
Angela is a proud Māori & Malyangapa, Wanyawalku, Barkandji woman from Far Western NSW. Angela has over 20 years’ experience in the media sector as a TV producer, writer, award-winning journalist and documentary filmmaker.
Since 2021, Angela has been Screen Australia’s Head of First Nations, overseeing all of Screen Australia’s First Nations programs, initiatives and sector development.
Morning Tea and One-to-One Meetings
The informal morning tea will include a general overview of Screen Australia’s upcoming initiatives, programs and industry support on offer for First Nations screen practitioners. Refreshments will be provided.
The morning tea will be followed by one-to-one meetings with Angela for interested First Nations screen practitioners. If you would like to discuss career pathways, your slate or any of your projects with Angela, please book a 15-minute meeting timeslot.
