Perth Festival is seeking expressions of interest for a Creative Producer and Production Manager for the Perth Festival Short Documentary Project.

Perth Festival Short Documentary Project
The program provides selected students the opportunity to be mentored by a creative film producer and work with a professional film crew to create a short documentary that explores their response to the provocation ‘the ground beneath our feet’.
Students will work with a creative producer to develop, storyboard and shoot their film over an intensive week-long program during term 3 or 4 in 2018. They will build filmmaking skills and develop understandings of storytelling, investigation, research, and editing.
The completed films will be screened during the Perth Festival Films season at UWA Sommerville and ECU Joondalup Pines and experienced by thousands of people.

Creative Producer Role
Perth Festival is seeking expressions of interest for the position of Creative Producer. The Creative Producer will oversee the planning and successful production of all three films.
Key responsibilities:
- Ensure the delivery of the creative outcomes of the project
- Develop and deliver in-school program that builds students skills and supports filmic outcomes. These programs to include workshopping of creative content, location recces, and all location shooting.
- Develop shooting schedule and content outline for each project, create project Call Sheets
- Identify necessary technical equipment / consumables
- Oversee shoots and post-production
- Work alongside Production Manager to ensure all project logistics are in place
- Work with Production Manager to appoint DoP, sound and editing roles according to the needs of each film.
- Liaise with the Education Manager to develop overall project schedules and schedules for each film
- Deliver final films

Production Manager Role
Perth Festival is seeking expressions of interest for the position of Production Manager that will be responsible for the logistical organisation of the films. The Production Manager will work with the Creative Producer to realise all three films.
Key responsibilities:
- Work alongside Creative Producer to ensure all project logistics are in place
- Manage the production budget for each film
- Acquire all permits and permissions as directed by the Creative Producer and each film project team
- Source technical equipment / consumables in liaison with Creative Producer
- Book accommodation and flights as required
- Liaise with Producer to appoint DoP, sound and editing roles
- Contract and manage payroll and per diems for contract staff employed on the project
- Liaise with Safety Officer to complete all risk assessments
- Manage schedules for production in liaison with Creative Producer
- Other administrative tasks as necessary
