West Coast Visions
West Coast Visions, Screenwest’s premiere film fund, has helped launch the careers of many WA directors, including Zak Hilditch and Ben Young.
West Coast Visions provides production funding for low-budget feature films. The initiative works as a development pathway for Western Australian creative teams and is designed to uncover, inspire and develop local talent and skills.
Screenwest is pleased to announce that it will be running West Coast Visions again in 2020 – watch this space for more information and application dates!
Meanwhile, if you have any questions or would like to discuss a potential submission, please contact our Talent Development Manager, Eva Di Blasio, or our Drama Development Manager, Barbara Connell. Their contact details can be found at the end of this article.
Short Form Production Funding
Screenwest plan to launch a short form production initiative before the end of the financial year. We are in the process of reviewing how our short form programs can have the most impact and create greater career development outcomes for industry professionals. Feedback from the WA Industry Health Check will also help to inform this strategy.
We encourage screen practitioners from every discipline and experience level to participate in the WA Industry Health Check so that we can take this into consideration with future planning. Our Talent Development Manager, Eva Di Blasio, is available to answer any questions you might have.
