Funding Approvals and What’s In Production

Screenwest is reinstating its Funding Approvals and the What’s In Production sections of the website.

Due to feedback from interested stakeholders and industry groups, and to keep the industry and community informed of the awesome range of activities, projects and people that Screenwest funding supports, Screenwest will once again be communicating all funding decisions and approvals on the website.

What’s In Production

Screenwest’s What’s in Production is an industry tool that lists Screenwest funded projects that are in various stages of production. Its purpose is to keep industry and key stakeholders informed of the productions currently being undertaken in Western Australia and to assist industry in securing roles on upcoming productions.

It will list the current stage of production, along with:

• Project Title
• Type
• Producer / Production Company
• Synopsis

This will be reviewed and updated monthly by Screenwest Production Attraction & Services Coordinator, Gabrielle Cole.

Funding Approvals on Website

Screenwest will now make public all funding approvals on its website regularly, including the project name, production company/producer/developer, genre, synopsis and funding program as they appear in their official funding offer.

Screenwest will not release details of amounts given to individual projects/activities. Screenwest will not make public the details of the individual project title if the production company/producer/developer seeks an exemption in the form of written notification to Screenwest within 7 business days of any offer being sent.

At the end of each financial year, full details of all funding approvals are made available to the public in the Screenwest Annual Report.

All Funding Offers, as of 1 July 2019 will contain information regarding this.

Screenwest will undertake all reasonable measures to ensure the accuracy of any and all information relating to approvals listed at the time of publication.

The funding approvals for July 2019 will be available on the Screenwest website mid-August 2019.
