Screenwest is pleased to announce that five Western Australian filmmaking teams have been selected to produce their scripted short film projects through Elevate.
Elevate invests in the professional skills development of WA’s most talented early-to-mid career creatives. The core objectives of this initiative are to uncover distinctive WA voices and projects, support the career progression of WA key creatives and support the development of a project that acts as a calling card for their next career milestone.
The projects will be executive produced by Perth-based theatre and screen producer, Kate Neylon. Kate’s producer credits include the feature documentary Hotel Coolgardie and West Coast Visions features Below and Birthright.
“This round was highly competitive and we received very strong applications. Congratulations to the five selected teams who all have distinctive and compelling projects. We look forward to seeing them come to life in 2025.” said Tenille Kennedy, Screenwest Head of Scripted: Content and Talent.
