Screenwest invites expressions of interest from experienced Western Australian producers and production companies interested in executive producing the new round of WA Reflections projects.
WA Reflections is a capacity building initiative that will enable up to four early to mid-career Western Australian filmmaking teams to produce a documentary film of up to seven minutes in duration.
Responsibilities
The successful Executive Producer will:
- Contract directly with Screenwest.
- Supervise and guide the selected WA Reflections teams through contracting, production and the delivery of their projects.
- Ensure each WA Reflections team complies with all applicable laws relating to the production of their project including occupational health and safety and employment laws.
- Ensure the final delivery of the WA Reflections projects to the State Library of Western Australia and Screenwest occurs in a timely manner.
- Liaise closely with Screenwest throughout the process.
Eligibility
The producer / production company must:
- Be a Western Australian resident producer / production company with a track record of producing or line managing theatrically released feature documentary film/s and/or broadcast television programs.
- Be a proprietary limited company with a valid Australian Business Number (ABN).
- Be available from February 2025 to oversee the contracting, production and delivery of the selected WA Reflections projects.
Assessment Criteria
Screenwest will competitively assess eligible expressions of interest against the following criteria:
- The producer / production company’s track record and demonstrated ability to deliver the WA Reflections projects on schedule, on budget and to a high standard.
- The producer / production company’s ability to deliver creative guidance and logistical support to filmmakers.
How to Apply
Submission Materials:
- A two page (maximum) proposal outlining:
- Your track record producing or line managing theatrically released feature documentary film/s and or broadcast television program/s.
- Your ability to deliver projects on schedule, within budget and to a high standard.
- How you will ensure that the necessary creative guidance and logistical assistance is given to the WA Reflections teams.
- A current CV of the producer and any key personnel who may be involved in overseeing the WA Reflections projects.
