visor:immersive in partnership with NEXT GEN are running a VR 101 Forum on Saturday, 6 April 2019, supported by the Screenwest Screen Industry Skills Development Fund.

VR 101 Forum
The VR 101 Forum brings key WA industry representatives from local businesses and production companies together to explore current opportunities that WA has in the emerging VR sector, share their knowledge and experiences, and convey their ‘vision for the future’.
The Forum panellists, include:

- Michael Ovens (Viewport)
- Leighton De Barros (Sea Dog TV International)
- Vee Pendergrast (Screenwest)
- John Trewenack (Mirage Mahal)
- Ian Booth (Prospero Productions)
- Glenn Sarangapany (Birds of Tokyo and Electric Sheep Music)
The event is hosted by award-winning WA producer Brooke Silcox and will provide an opportunity for participants to ask questions and share their views and ideas.
The Forum will also provide a unique networking opportunity for participants, with a chance to share and discuss ideas with leaders in their field.

About Brooke Silcox
VR 101 Forum host Brooke Silcox is an award-winning WA Producer, recipient of the 2016 Screenwest Emerging Producer Initiative and founder of No Thing Productions.
Brooke has produced a number of award-winning and award-nominated productions, including:
- short film JUDAS COLLAR
- feature documentary ROCKABUL
- feature documentary MEAL TICKETS
Brooke has participated in VR courses at AFTRS, AIDC and through Digital Raign’s prestigious Realities Summit at Esalen Institute in Big Sur, California.
She is one of Screen Producers Australia’s 2018 Ones to Watch.
Screen Industry Skills Development Fund
The Screen Industry Skills Development Fund is designed to provide support to not for profit screen industry organisations, established production companies and experienced industry practitioners to deliver professional skills development opportunities to Western Australian screen practitioners.
