Envelope Music Collection has Launched
Envelope Audio’s Music Collection has launched to bring you a stunning mix of compositions and scoring materials right at your fingertips!
Screenwest, with assistance from Lotterywest, was pleased to support the WA post-production company’s project through the Fix it in Post Initiative.
Envelope Audio is a Western Australian Post-Production Sound and Music Studio, headed up by Ned Beckley and Josh Hogan. The studio has provided compositions, sound design, and mixing to numerous productions from the likes of Netflix, National Geographic, and the ABC. Envelope has launched the Envelope Music Collection this month, with over 600 compositions.
The Envelope Music Collection includes diverse scoring components for both long and short form films, as well as other audio formats such as podcasts. The library is designed to connect content creators with local screen composers, serving as an avenue to provide work, rather than solely functioning as a file hosting server.
Josh Hogan said, “From years of experience writing music for screen we came across a lot of creatives who were looking for music that has an authentic edge to it, and they weren’t finding it in the established production music libraries.”
Envelope Studio Head Ned Beckley said, “Our music clients for Film and TV are more and more looking for a blend of original commissioned music combined with curated licensed music. So, we’re introducing music supervision services as part of the new library, partnered with our team of composers who have extensive experience writing for screen, so our clients get the best of both worlds”.
Envelope Audio’s Music Collection was a recipient of a 2020 Fix it in Post COVID-19 grant, offered by Screenwest and Lotterywest, with an aim of keeping post-production companies open and working in the face of global pandemic.
Rikki Lea Bestall, CEO of Screenwest said, “We are pleased to have supported Envelope Audio to create this incredible resource for Western Australian filmmakers and screen producers, during a really challenging time for the screen industry. The Envelope Audio team is building great momentum and servicing some of the most incredible local and international streamers, broadcasters and production companies, and I am sure we will see their Music Collection put to good use!”
