Different Lens – Disability Diverse Screen Practitioner Placements
Screenwest is excited to announce that in association with Carer’s WA, a special, one-off opportunity for a Western Australian Producer or Production Company to work with emerging disability diverse storytellers and practitioners.
This initiative will provide opportunity for Western Australian screen practitioners with a disability, whilst building the capacity of local and professional industry to work with diverse screen practitioners.
How it works
Four paid professional placement opportunities are available for disability diverse Screen Practitioners to develop their skills, more specifically as a Writer, Director of Photography, Sound Recordist and Editor.
The successful applicants will be mentored by and work with the selected Production Company to produce a series of twelve, disability-focused, 1 – 2 minute short screen projects.
Interested screen practitioners will be selected and identified by Screenwest and Carers WA through an expression of interest process, in consultation with the selected producer/production company.
Carers WA will support the selection process to find the disability diverse storytellers.
Deadline extended to Monday, 2 March 2020 at 5:00pm AWST.
