Hit series ‘Aussie Gold Hunters’ unstoppable as Season 10 commissioned by Warner Bros. Discovery

Screenwest is pleased to announce Warner Bros. Discovery UK, Ireland, Australia and New Zealand have commissioned Season 10 of the hit series Aussie Gold Hunters from WA production company Electric Pictures, ahead of the highly-anticipated Season 8 hitting Australian screens on Discovery Channel on Thursday, 22 February 2024.

‘Tales From Outer Suburbia’ and ‘Kangaroo Beach Season 3’ greenlit for production in Western Australia

Screenwest is pleased to announce production of both ABC animated kids series will take place at Siamese in Western Australia, with Tales from Outer Suburbia adapted from Shaun Tan’s bestselling short story anthology and the new season of Kangaroo Beach continuing the adventures of the beloved animal cadets.

Western Australia scoops five out of six First Facts: First Nations Factual Showcase commissions

Five WA First Nations filmmaking teams out of six nationwide have been selected to receive production funding for short documentaries through Screen Australia and Network 10’s factual initiative, following a development workshop earlier this year.

Maggie Beer cooks up inspiring new WA series for ABC

ABC, Screen Australia and Screenwest are delighted to announce that Australia’s food icon, Maggie Beer AO is looking to improve the lives of older Australians in her new series for the ABC, Maggie Beer’s Big Mission. Produced by Artemis Media, the documentary series is currently filming in Western Australia.
