A Professional Attachment opportunity is available through the Screenwest Crew Attachment Program on an upcoming Feature Film Sweet As. Applications close Monday 31 May at 4:59pm AWST.
About the Attachment
The successful candidate will complete a six-week Camera Assistant Attachment under the expert guidance of Director of Photography Katie Milwright where they will:
- Gain on set experience in a professional feature film camera department
- Gain working knowledge of camera, lenses and equipment required for feature films
- Perform a variety of tasks, under the guidance of their mentor to develop an understanding of the different roles with the camera department as well as associated departments such as Grips and Electrics
- Have the opportunity to view and work with an experienced Director of Photography
- Travel to the Pilbara region for Principal Photography

Key Responsibilities and Requirements
In addition to the requirements in the Screenwest Crew Attachment Guidelines and Terms of Trade, the successful applicant will possess:
- Demonstrated commitment to working within the Camera Department through one of the following
- Short Courses
- Completed Tertiary Education with a focus on the camera Department
- Examples of own camera work in either Still or Film/TV work.
- Must be available to travel to during the attachment period
- Ability to Problem Solve
- Ability to follow directions and work as part of a team
Attachment Conditions
It is expected the successful Attachment will:
- Comply with the Producer’s workplace rules and requirements for safety and behaviour.
- Comply with all lawful and reasonable directions given to the Attachment by officers or employees of the Producer during the Term of the Attachment.
- Keep confidential any and all confidential information of the Producer that comes into the Attachment’s possession.
